MousekeFoodie.com was created by Disney Fans of the first order. We’re nuts about the Mouse! As such, beyond foodie-centric findings we’ll also make recommendations about Walt Disney World trip planning resources that we believe are truly beyond comparison — we’ll label them MousekEssentials™!

Our very first recommendation is the WDW TODAY PODCAST. Hands-down, this had to be number one. Self-described as “… a[n] interactive webcast/podcast that covers various topics from around Walt Disney World,” WDW Today takes it’s topics to the next level through the camaraderie and talent of its group of fellow Disney Geeks.

The host is Matt Hochberg of StudiosCentral.com and his regular co-hosts are Mike Newell, Mike Scopa, and Len Testa. They are frequently joined by “the Fabulous” Annette Owens. Newell is the creator of and tech wizard behind MouseWorldRadio.com. Scopa is an oft-maligned “Senior” Feature Writer and Blogger for AllEars.net. Testa is the Co-author of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World (Ding!) and our neighbor to the North — we’re based in South Carolina. Owens is a Manager of Customer Relations and Group Services for MEI & MouseFan Travel.

WDW Today airs new episodes three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a Live call-in show every month. Online chat is available for those of us who WDW Radio‘s Lou Mongello calls the “box people” during live shows. Lou does his own Disney-focused, unaffiliated podcast and publishes the magazine Celebrations. (Look for a coming MousekEssentials™ post about Lou’s work coming soon.)

Archived episodes of WDW Today are available for download at any time. Once you’ve heard your first episode, you’ll want to listen to them all. We know from experience. Listening to WDW today is like sitting in your living room (or better yet in the lobby of your favorite WDW resort) and catching up with old friends. It’s Informative and more often than not hilarious.

As this is being posted, WDW Today is preparing for it’s Fifth Anniversary this month and its upcoming Reunion in early December. Congratulations, guys and gal. You do righteous work for our Disney Geekdom.
